I feel like they're doing the best they can. Finding work shouldn't be as difficult as what it is, and the low success rates really says more about the state of Australia's unemployment situation than anything else.I think what alot of people don't get is that they won't help you unless you ask for it. How can they know that you want to do training if you don't ask for it? How will they know that you need new clothes if you don't tell them so?I still haven't found steady work, but I don't think that it's from a lack of trying on Nortec's part.
Most useless company that can not deliver what they promise. I got my own job without assistance within 1 week of moving to the area, they offered $200 a month of resources to get to and from work (predominately fuel vouchers) I only asked for $20 a month to get me by as I know other people may need these resources more than I. Then they can't even deliver that. I only wanted 1/10th of what they offer and I still can not get it. There is maybe only one or two people in this office who actually care for people and their wellbeing. Other than that it's just a job that they can't do! They need to be put through their own system so they know how it feels. I have now cancelled all forms of government benefit as I can luckily support myself (and no longer have an unemployed partner who I also had to support) and now no longer have to deal with the 'assistance' that nortec delivers, that is actually more of an annoyance. I have worked in this industry myself before when I was 19 and could do their job better in my sleep. Useless.
Nortec suddenly decided to close down our long term office space a few weeks before Christmas. They closed the whole complex, with every single business being evicted with little more than a months notice, and right over the Christmas New-Year break. This is the one time of year that hard working business owners get a chance to take a well deserved break. Not this year! And also finding suitable office space over Christmas, and with such short notice was really difficult. The complex was poorly managed and advertised, and our feedback completely ignored. Absolutely impossible to talk to anyone who has any authority despite several attempts. Super frustrating. Now that theyve evicted all their long term tenants, the new owners will have to try and find new tenants, and will likely sit vacant for a long, long time. What a nightmare! The one exception was Gary, who did his best to look after us throughout, even though he didnt have the authority to change anything.
No I don't recommend nortec in Lismore to anyone they don't deserve 1 star, they have false advertisement, and they have triggered my anxiety and depression & they dont help.
Absolutely shocking and rude!! Not helpful at all. Avoid Anne at all costs!
