One of the most well looked after caravan parks I have ever stayed in, everything is super clean and maintained, great value for the very resonable price they charge and the owners and such nice people going out of their way to help ... Would recommend to anyone coming to Lismore
Stayed with family at this park. Arrived on 31 December 18 and departed 3 Jan 19. My rating is because of the following reason. First, one star as the only thing going for the place is the cheap price. Second, no more stars because I saw the person cleaning the toilets use a very dirty old mop and I could not see or smell any proper cleaning products! Further, presumably the groundsman was mowing and whipper snipping right next to everyones tents, vans, cars etc... literally within centimetres and even when I made bacon and eggs at the camp kitchen, he walked up with his whipper snipper and covered the bacon and eggs in grass. The best part, he could see I just put the plate on the table and was looking right at me. It was the last of our food. When he went up to our car all I could hear was rocks flying up at it. We are talking about a Landcruiser and even the Mercedes camper van. The van has small chips over the fresh paint. We arent talking trash cars. He barely missed the tents and even an electric cord! At that point I thought I might start recording him as I wasnt sure if he was going to electrocute himself! When told to stop and wait until we leave (simply out of respect for our personal property) he said take it up with the manager and continued the art of destruction of personal property. Couldnt believe it!On the night of 2 January 19 at 9:30pm, presumably the manager or owner walked up to our camper van and tents and told us to stop talking as we are disturbing everyone across the entire camp site and basically to shut it down. We were laughing and having a good time, but nothing out of proportion and unreasonable. Apart from myself as a 27 year old, our family is middle aged/older. He was not polite whatsoever about it, however, we just just shut down and decided to go to bed as he was quite obnoxious and rude. I felt he was intolerant the way he approached us. For future reference, being polite isnt hard. Then the morning of 3 Jan 19, despite being allowed to leave by 11:30 am, the power was turned off to the camper van much earlier than leaving time. Not to mention, although perhaps outside of the control of the park, Dawson Street has trucks zooming along every morning at or about 3-5am. They were so loud I couldnt sleep. In all, my rating of one star represents the primarily the issue, which I hope they can largely look at correcting. The lady in the small shop who feeds the birds was well mannered and she was very nice. So maybe she should be managing the place.Other campers were also nice and respectful.
Great, clean, pet-friendly park. Excellent for an overnight stay, but even better for extended stays.
