Totally disappointed in the treatment of my daughter. Was admitted to the hospital new year's day after a fall .after an xray it was discovered she had a broken hip. At the time of the xray on her hip she mentioned the very painful wrist an asked if an xray could be done on the wrist as well. Only to be told no because it was a separate issue and best she inquire about another xray after which she did for another 3 days only to be told by the nurse to rise above the pain .after 3days of pain on a very swollen wrist the physio lady asked what the matter was And told her about her wrist which she replied she would get something done about it. Later on in the day she came back and said she had made an appointment for an xray. The results showed a broken wrist and it was put in a plaster none of the nurses took any notice of my daughter's pleas and to that it is an absolute disgrace. Luckily she has been transferred to our local hospital. Her stay in Lismore Base Hospital has been upsetting for her. My choice if I ever need to go to hospital would definitely not be there.
Dear oh dear, what a fourth world dump. If you are on a suicide trip, just get admitted into this embarrassment of a hospital and just die there. There is ineptitude amongst every staff member, including junior doctors, Registrars and nurses, that must be amongst the worst in the world. In fact, most of them are poorly trained and educated. There is no quality, civility, thoroughness, honourableness or medical ethics. Infections through hospital tilth are rampant. Didn't they say that the food is worse than the food in Auschwitz, what else is like Auschwitz in LBH? Get out of there before they get you.
if I could give this hospital 0 I would. Very sad. After my husband was moved from the ED it was all down hill from there. They didn't give him his regular medication that he had brought from home, they forgot to give him his intravenous antibiotics which was the whole reason for him being there with an infection in his leg and then decided to move him from his private room to another room, with 4 other people, even though we have private health insurance and are supposed to have a private room in a public hospital . Just because it's a country hospital doesn't mean you treat people like cattle. The Dr's were great, but the nursing staff, not all but most, need to be re-trained on their people skills.
Given prompt, professional attention in Emergency by a Doctor for an eye issue. Senior Eye Registrar was called in to give further opinion. I was very happy and reassured when I left. Only 2 and half hours in all from 5.00 p.m. last night. Marvellous service.
Spent the day in Lismore Base Hospital with my little girl getting several tests done. I could not have asked for better staff to support us, they all treated us like their own family. A special mention to the lovely volunteers who make and deliver quilts to give to the sick children. It absolutely made my daughters day and took her mind off everything else for a while..The facilities are also amazing!We cannot thank all staff enough for all the care you provided us in the most nurturing way.
