To be honest we were pretty disappointed with the service. We asked the lady to point us in the right direction of a nice place to eat. Her response was I have no idea, I have to cook here all the time and I dont like it. She also said just a short walk to the Main Street. Which it was not, it was approx a half hour walk. She gave us milk which she said please do not drink out of the bottle, she gave it to us in a small pre used juice bottle! Shocked as we were we went to our room as it was around 7:30 and we were getting hungry. The bed very hard, there was rubbish under the bed so cleaning wasnt done properly. We wont be going back thats for sure. Maybe they have been there too long and needs to move on.
The questionably premenstraul man in reception acted like us arriving and booking in was a huge inconvenience, and he very obviously couldnt be bothered! But Even though he seemed to disapprove of our presence he mustered up the energy and booked us in anyway, What a legend!! The poor fella, I am not sure that he even realised that having to mix with the outside world was part of the gig when purchasing and running a motel. After we caused that poor man so much grief by checking us in you wouldnt believe it but the wind blew the door shut and the key got locked in the room (which happens a bit apparently) and I was actually scared to go and bother the man because if us paying for a room nearly pushed him over the edge then imagine how he would feel when I would tell him that we accidentally locked the key in the room? Would it be the last straw? Would he finally step off the edge? Fortunately for him when I went back the lady was passing through and she opened the door for us and was able to deal with this unexpected horror really well and even smiled and conversed with me. so thank you to the nice lady, a good business move for you would be to do the checking in yourself. Im not the only review who has noticed his unique approach to customer service and I assume guests who gave 5 stars didnt encounter the man. I had booked online, all he needed to do was process my card payment and hand over the key. A monkey could do that!!! There is no lake either!!! So to sum up, bad service and no lake but they did have beds so all wasnt lost ;)
Talk about value for money.... this is rhe place. Great room and the folks that look after the place are so helpful. Stayed there 3 nights on different days in the last 4 weeks.
Always love it here. Peaceful.owners friendly and helpful. Perfect setting and over the road from the airport. Handy inexpensive snack machine for those late night craving s. Wish I was there right now. Thanks R & C. A few days later....I AM there right now and it's better than ever. Would like to live here!
Spacious and spotless room. Comfortable beds. well equipped with TV, microwave, fridge, tea, coffee and fresh milk. Breakfast and dinner available. On the highway but very little noise so we slept well. Handy to town. Will stay here again.
